Perforated roll or cut sheets?

- Perforated rolls are dispensed at a service station, tearing off one cover at a time — useful when tables are turned quickly at peak hours.
Choosing the size: 100 cm width and cut length
The standard width is 100 cm; length is produced to order. Measure the table’s long and short sides, decide how much overhang you want on each side, and check that the short side plus overhang fits within 100 cm. The cut length is then the long side plus overhang on both ends. If you run several table sizes, standardising on the most common one simplifies stock; otherwise calculate each size’s consumption separately.
Paper weight: 18 g/m² single-ply or 34 g/m² two-ply?
The top layer is 18 g/m² tissue paper (single-ply), with a 34 g/m² two-ply option. Single-ply keeps the unit cost low for high-turnover tables and canteens; two-ply gives a fuller look for events or hotel dining at a higher unit cost. Ask for prices on both options in the same quote.
Why the laminated backing matters
A laminated paper tablecloth has a paper top and a thin film underneath. In RENASAN tablecloths the backing is 10 micron HDPE film, with a lamination weight of 9.5 g/m². The paper surface holds spills while the film limits liquid reaching the table, which shortens turnaround between guests. Make sure the quote states that the product is laminated — “paper tablecloth” alone may also describe non-laminated paper.
Standard pattern or custom print?

Estimating monthly consumption
Monthly covers = number of tables × daily changes per table × operating days per month
Example (illustrative): a 20-table restaurant changing each cover twice a day and open 26 days a month needs 20 × 2 × 26 = 1,040 covers — roughly 5 cartons of cut sheets (200–250 per carton) or about 4 perforated rolls (250–300 per roll). Add a small allowance for waste and peak periods. For importers, multiply this by the number of outlets you supply and by the months a shipment needs to cover, including transit time.
Comparing quotes: convert everything to cost per cover
Retail listings usually price paper tablecloths per pack of 10 or 25, while manufacturers quote per carton or roll. Bring every offer to the same unit:
Cost per cover = carton (or roll) price ÷ pieces per carton (or roll)
Then check that the offers really describe the same product: identical size (100 × 120 cm and 100 × 150 cm are different items), the same ply and paper weight, and a laminated backing in both. Freight, duties and the Incoterm also belong in the comparison, especially when tablecloths ship as part of a mixed load with other disposables.
Storage and handling
